FPYC Liberty Cup Invitational CHAMPIONS!
March 30, 2008 Congratulations to the Spirit for an outstanding team-wide effort in a most exciting tournament!! You ladies have proven once again that you ARE indeed CHAMPIONS!!!
GO SPIRIT!

The U13 Spirit is a tremendous ensemble of young lady athletes competing in the Old Dominion Soccer League (ODSL). The girls continue to learn in a challenging and rewarding travel soccer environment. Camaraderie is the cornerstone of the team’s foundation and the girls have continued to build solid friendships and learn lifelong lessons through their shared experiences in this greatest game called soccer!

The team atmosphere of commitment and trust has created a shared, remarkable experience for the players and their families. We hold many off-field social events that are enjoyed by both parents and players. This positive environment has kept parents engaged in volunteer roles, thereby further enhancing the Spirit experience.

Dan Caracciolo with Golden Boot Soccer coaches the Spirit, with support from assistants Brian Cummings and Pete van Aartrijk. Adam Schramm is the team's manager. Other trainers, winter leagues, fun practice sessions, and summer camps complement the girls’ training experience. By adding trainers to assist in various elements of conditioning and learning for the team, the Spirit girls benefit from varying training styles and techniques. This provides variety, helps to continue the development of proper fundamental skills, and contributes to their continued enjoyment of the game.

In summary, our team philosophy centers on families, friends, fun, and an unrivaled soccer experience that is educational, demanding and rewarding for the girls. GO SPIRIT!

Congratulations to the 37th Annual Virginian Tournament Finalists!
May 28, 2007 - 04:00 PM Congratulations to the Spirit for an outstanding undefeated 4 games on Saturday and Sunday in the Virginian. Monday, the very good VSA Heat Gold proved to be tough and we lost 1-0 in the Finals. Great job ladies! Go Spirit!

2007 Icebreaker Finalists
March 25, 2007 The Spirit finished the 2007 Icebreaker Tournament with 3 wins and 1 loss. Unfortunately, the loss was in the Championship game 1-0 to the LSC Cobras (who we may meet again in The Virginian). The Spirit battled as hard as they could and came out of the tournament with a fine showing and proved that while they have a few things to work on, they are improving and almost ready for the WAGS season to begin in 1 week. Most importantly, the players and their families enjoyed yet another tournament with the greatest U12 girls team on the planet! GO SPIRIT!!!
